Guest Blogger – Fritha – Ways to Wear Baroque

Hi everyone, it’s Fritha here again.
In my post last week I picked out my favourite trends for Spring 2012, and this week I’ve tried one out for myself. To get the Baroque print look, I chose the Frencis Bodycon Dress  in blue. The print is very loud and could be a bit daunting, so I thought I’d style it in a few different ways for different occasions, to prove that in-your-face clothes can actually be really versatile and easy to wear.

For my first style, I wanted to show that the Frencis can be worn in a smart, sophisticated outfit. I teamed it with a white blazer, opaque tights and heels for a classy look that would be perfect for going out for dinner and drinks. Get this look at Missguided with the Violetta Tailored Blazer .

Style two shows that the Frencis doesn’t have to be worn as a dress. You can wear it as a top and pair it with skinny jeans for a cute daytime look. I love contrasting patterns within an outfit, which is why I chose my starry loafers. If you want to try something similar, Missguided’s Othella Zebra Print Slipper Shoes  would be perfect!

The third outfit is how I’d style the Frencis for a night out. I love toughening up dresses with leather jackets and chunky heels. A statement lip looks great for a night out too, and I swear by my MissFortune Chilli Red Lip Splash  for the perfect shiny red pout.

If any of you were hesitating about rocking the Baroque trend before, I hope I’ve convinced you how versatile it can be and that you’ll give it a go now. The Frencis dress is the perfect item for it, not only can it be dressed up or down for any occasion, the print also creates an optical illusion, giving you amazing curves. The best bit is, it’s a total bargain as it’s only £12.99!
What do you think of my outfits? Have I managed to convince you to give the Baroque trend a go?
Until next time, Peace, Love and Fashion,
Fritha xxx
