If you’re a massive foodie and you’ve not yet tried a bottomless brunch yet, where have you been hiding? Brunch has always been a thing, but it’s officially stepped up its game. There are two things that us British folks are known for and we’ve now brought the two together, thanks to America’s export, to create one epic combo: booze and food. Here’s our pick of the best boozy brunches you need to go to at some point this year without burning a hole in your pocket. Take note, babes.

Flesh and Buns, London

Flesh and Buns Brunch London Covent Garden

We loved the pun, too. OK, so it’s not your usual brunch but we need a break from the avocado and egg insta posts. Situated in Covent Garden, Flesh and Buns have brought authentic Japanese food to the heart of London. Soz, Wagas. With a cocktail on arrival, unlimited prosecco, red and white wine, unlimited hot and cold dishes, and a complimentary dessert served to a soundtrack of old school rock, we really can’t say no (feast your eyes on the Smores dessert, too). Tokyo’s take on brunch just got real.

McPhabbs, Glasgow

McPhabbs Bottomless Brunch

McPhabbs officially brought the bottomless brunch to Glasgow. One for the brunch addicts, this place is the cheapest of the lot. At only £15, you’re served with 3 tapas-sized dishes. Once you finish all 3, you can plough through the menu whilst watering yourself down with mimomas at £3.70.

McPhabbs originally served up bottomless brunches on Easter weekend only. But one weekend wasn’t enough for the Scot birds and they’ve now brought the gut-busting breakfast back, but only on bank holiday weekends. Just to put it out there, it also has a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor. Keep it traditional by choosing black pudding with scones or have something extra like buttermilk chicken, and avocado with salsa and feta. Go.Go.Go.

If you’ve been hiding in your closest, here’s a little bit of background on bottomless brunches:

What is a bottomless brunch?

If we didn’t know what bottomless brunches are, they sound like something only the cast of Made in Chelsea get their hands on. But bottomless brunches (a.k.a boozy lunches) have sharply risen since 2015 after originally taking inspiration from Manhattan’s trend (thanks, America!). Brunch has now evolved to bottomless brunch where food and drinks are free-flowing. All you can eat and all you can drink is what dreams are made of.

Where can you find bottomless brunches?

You can find them just about in every city right now – expect more popping up this year. And if you’re wondering if your afternoon is going to be a complete write-off, then you’re spot on. Go all out on brunch and you’ll probably need at least one afternoon lie-down to actually resurface for dinner. You’re welcome.
