London Fashion Week Street Style – An Eye For Detail

Yesterday we boarded the first train to our amazing capital city to embrace the first day of London Fashion Week – 4 days where the cobbles of Somerset house are graced by some of the worlds finest designers, models, stylists, editors, bloggers and fashion glitterati. The atmosphere is so electric it almost sparks – teams of photographers surround the industries elite as they dash from show to show in ‘off the runway’ heels, models – still overly made up from their last show- power walk in order to make it to their next and which ever way you turn there is a statement outfit, a crazy pair of heels ( not just the ladies ) or a well-known face – in short – to be there & witness this madness is truly spectacular.

We spotted Jameela Jamil, Delilah, Dionne Bromfield, Laura Whitmore, Susie Bubble, Kelly Brook & Kate Nash walking through the famous arches at the entrance to Somerset House, as well as Senior Fashion Editor Natalie Hartley & witnessed a private moment between designer Corrie Nielson & her friend as they caught up with the live twitter feed about her collection straight after the show (Corrie was still sweet enough to let us get a snap of her despite being a much wanted lady).

The street style was incredible; details and accents were definitely the show stealer’s- with neon, embellishments, jewellery stacks, shoe designs and studs taking outfits to a whole new level. Coats and jackets were worn perched on-top of the shoulders for a trans-seasonal look, and simple silhouettes with multiple fabrics kept things interesting. Sporty twists were given to the most tailored of outfits with the addition of bright trainers or a plain baseball cap. We snapped some of our favourite details and outfits for your viewing pleasure – will you be taking inspiration from any of these looks ?
