Daisy Maskell Q+A
We caught up with her to talk all things music, clothes and career highlights. Read the full interview below.
How did you get into presenting?
Through blagging (and bribery)
What song is the soundtrack to your life?
Daniel Beddingfield – Gotta Get Through This
I have the worst bladder which means on-air, Im constantly waiting for an ad break so I can run to the toilet
Coolest person you’ve met?
Sean Paul! To hear him ad-lib in the flesh is an experience! He comes in iced out always and just has the most amazing stories and energy.
What gave you the inspiration to become a presenter?
I love talking and I love people. Broadcasting live is fun because it means you can be naughty and no one can stop you! Every day at work is controlled chaos.
What’s your proudest career moment?
I hosted live backstage from the Brits 2019. We were on our way to an after party afterwards and I saw a billboard outside the O2 with my face on it. I had made the most of the free bar that evening so at that point I couldn’t tell you exactly how I was feeling, but I’m sure there was some pride in there somewhere!
How would you describe your style?
When I’m working, everything is handpicked from my bedroom floor. On the weekends it’s an outfit that clashes with the weather, gives you blisters on your feet and flu-like symptoms for the week following.
Biggest female inspiration?
Mariah Carey. She saw the opportunity that is ‘Christmas’ and ran with it.
What song never gets old?
Rhianna – B*tch Better Have My Money
