Missguided X The Prince’s Trust
Women supporting women. Always. Find out more about our charity partnership.
Throughout 2021, we have teamed up with the charity, The Prince’s Trust, to raise money and awareness of their Women Supporting Women campaign.
For over 44 years, The Prince’s Trust has offered endless support and opportunities to young people in challenging situations, whether that be mental health problems, growing up in the care system, victims of sexual abuse, involvement with in the criminal justice system and long-term unemployment.
“Female empowerment is at the heart of the Missguided brand, and we are excited to partner with a charity who supports positive change for our customer. Together we know we can make a real difference.”Alanna Deans, Head of Business Transformation at Missguided
What is the Women Supporting Women Campaign?
The Prince’s Trust has created the Women Supporting Women campaign, in order to help young women across the UK rebuild a life for themselves.
Women are more likely to face adversities such as domestic abuse, suffer from poor mental health and manage any child-care responsibilities. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, young women have struggled, with 54% expressing that they no longer feel in control of their lives. More than ever, they need our support.
This charity initiative will help young women re-build confidence, move into employment, gain further education or even start their own businesses. They will receive support from inspirational female mentors.
What does the Prince’s Trust Do?
The Prince’s Trust works with young people in vulnerable situations, supporting them through care, work and financial hardship. The internationally recognised charity has been working to provide better lives for 11-30 year olds across the UK for over 40 years.
Together we are on a mission to help vulnerable women rebuild their lives, by providing them with the skills and funding they need to create safe and stable livelihoods.
Why your help is needed more than ever…
The Pandemic has caused huge financial losses for women all over the UK, at the start of the crisis, 78% of job losses were women, and now almost a year later it is estimated that 1.5 million young women have lost income since the coronavirus pandemic began.
The Trust’s practical courses, together with the dedication of The Prince’s Trust youth support workers and mentors, equip young people with the confidence and skills they need to move into work, training and education
