On the 29th of September, we are launching a collaboration with the legendary streetwear brand, Sean John. The campaign is fronted by none other than the rapper, songwriter and model BIA. If you don’t know, get to know.

We wanted a fearless and uncompromising woman to represent our brand and BIA was just that. She completely embodies the collection’s creative, trailblazing spirit. BIA’s spotlight in the campaign brings to life the authentic music DNA of the Sean John brand, as well as our mission for female empowerment.

I remember how iconic Sean john was to me growing up. It represents a Hip-hop legacy that I feel empowered in.

Who is BIA?

If you are already a fan of Cardi B or Megan Thee Stallion, then there’s no doubt that you will be adding BIA to your going out playlist.

Originally from Massachusetts, the rising star always had her mind set on becoming a rapper. From a young age, she attended local studio sessions and tried to gain as much experience in the music industry as possible. She went to study at college, but realised that her heart was set on music. She dropped out and moved to Los Angeles in 2017.

Her career really began to take off when rapper, Fam-Lay, stumbled across her song ‘High’ on Youtube and passed it onto Pharrell Williams, who signed her to his record label.  She was later catapulted to fame on reality television show Sisterhood of Hip Hop.

Whilst she was establishing herself as a key player in the rap game, BIA opened up for countless big name artists including Pusha-T and the one and only Ariana Grande.

The rapper has been praised by Rihanna, with the singer posting BIA’s track, Best On Earth to her stories and captioning it “my new favourite song”.

In 2020 she signed to Epic Records and worked on releasing her most recent EP Rich Tiers. She has also started working with Missguided as a model and brand ambassador.

BIA fronted the SEAN JOHN X MISSGUIDED campaign, encapsulating the fearless attitude and hip hop culture that runs through the veins of the whole collection.

This whole collection is my style. I pride myself on being able to dress in baggy clothes while still being sexy. I love what Missguided represents and how they empower me to be my true self! I think that really shines through in the campaign
