The Prince’s Trust Success Stories- Jazmin
Find out more about how The Prince’s Trust are supporting young women across the UK
This March, we are proud to announce a long-term partnership with The Prince’s Trust, who, over 44 years, has become expert in supporting those in particularly challenging situations.
The Prince’s Trust has offered endless support and opportunities to young people facing hardship, whether that be mental health problems, growing up in the care system, victims of sexual abuse, involvement with in the criminal justice system and long-term unemployment.
They work to offer new opportunities and support to those who need it most. We decided to take a look at a few of their (many) success stories, to celebrate the important work they are doing for young people across the UK.
When Jazmin was just 7 years old, her mother passed away. She moved in with her nan and became a full time carer for 15 years. Growing up with her nan, Jazmin developed a passion for sewing and creating clothes.
When Jazmin’s grandmother passed away, it had a huge detrimental impact on her mental health, leading her to an overdose.
Jazmin’s aunt suggested that she got in touch with The Prince’s Trust for support. She embarked on a business enterprise course with the Trust, which covered marketing, branding and time management.
Jazmin pursued her dream of setting up her own plus size fashion business, Plus Equals, and recently saw her designs on the runway at London Queer Fashion Show at the V&A Museum of Childhood.
