B: Hot water bottle, makeup, my drumming practise pad, my Dr martins and vodka
Harriet: Pillow, hot water bottle, a good conditioner, make up bag, I feel weird if I don’t say toothbrush haha.
Your videos are amazing, what’s the inspiration?
H: We love yummy aesthetics and themes. My sister, Jennifer comes up with an idea as soon as she hears the song we want to make the video to and we always go with that first idea like it’s meant to be, natural. Our first single from our album was ‘Jackie’ themed. 1970s style. Our second single was kind of Clueless style, directed by Liam Thomson and ‘Pretzel films’.
N: We go with the vibe of the song, the video should enhance the meaning and follow the narrative. Most of our video are done by a girl called Jennifer Doveton, she’s very skilled.
B:Yeah we like working with people who have a vision for the song, and we usually just go with it, and contribute ideas along the way. In the future I think it would be great if we directed our own video. We have so many ideas for videos, but the budget is just limiting us right now.
How would you describe your aesthetic and how does it inspire your music?
N: Our aesthetic is very much let’s have fun, let’s stand up for stuff we believe in and this translates into OIIIII IN YOUR FACE high energy songs and jumping around on stage whipping our hair.
H: Be feminine, or don’t. Either is fine. We wear what we want. That reflects in our music, we’ll speak about stuff we care about and won’t care if there’s a backlash or controversy as a result of that.
B: We’re very high energy we love being the life of the party, and that comes through our music and how we look and what we wear on stage.

N: There’s so many like Glastonbury, supporting Kate Nash & The Selecter, Adam Ant at the Royal Concert Hall Glasgow but in terms of personal achievements it’s got to be the headline SOLD OUT london show following the release of our album ‘update your brain’ at the Lexington in London. The crowd was on fire! they were screaming all the words, so interactive and stage invaded us at the end.
What’s on the agenda for the rest of 2016?

N: It’s all art. Music is the audio and fashion is the visual and together they make a strong statement. We need fashion as our armour on stage, to represent part of who we are. Fashion needs music to enhance their work and for models to stomp down the runway. I wanna play a fashion event and be in the middle of a circular runway.
H: To me, both are empowering.
