Mollie Collins Q+A
How have you been passing the time in lockdown?
When lockdown started in March I started work on my debut album so that kept me pretty busy, that came out in August. Since then I have done a few remixes, a recent one for Gok Wan & Craig Knight’s – Let Me Be Your Fantasy Mollie Collins Remix which came out last Friday! As well as that I have started some bangers ready for next year as well as focusing on my KISS show every week! Music aside I have been running with my dog (Albert) and will defo be hitting the Gym when they re-open!
What has been your fave ever night out? (as a DJ or an attendee)
I have so many of these and it’s always so hard to pick which is my favourite but, I really do love travelling abroad in the summer to DJ whether it’s a festival or one of the party islands – they are defo my favourite as I usually tend to take a longer break and have some fun!

What do you wear to perform to feel confident?
I live in tracksuits haha! They are just so comfortable and cosy. When you drive to a gig it could be like 4/5 hours away so sitting and driving in a pair of tracksuit bottoms is the one! Nothing worse than a tight pair of jeans for me haha!
Most surreal career moment so far?
I have had many milestones in my career and most of them have been surreal to be honest, however I did play Creamfields Festival in 2018 for Mistajam’s Jam Packed arena and when I took to the stage it was empty in the tent (was around 1am) soon as I started playing people just came running in and within about 10 minutes the whole tent was full with about 4/5 thousand people, it was nerve-racking, but a wicked experience considering when I started I thought I would be playing to nobody! Will never forget that one.

What aspect of live gigging have you missed the most in 2020?
I have missed just the general things really, being on the road in the car on the motorway for hours, bumping into fellow artists, seeing ravers have a good time and enjoying my music / my set. It’s been a hard year without all of that but I can’t wait to get back to it!
