Leaving lockdown – Outfits for every tier

Time to make your grand exit

Grid of 3 images with numbers

It’s officially time to make your grand exit out of Lockdown part two, but with the whole country being divided into different tiers, the dress code can be a little confusing. Discover a little outfit inspiration for your plans in tier 1, 2 and 3, suitable for whatever activities you are allowed to do in your location.

It seems like we have been in lockdown forever, but finally hope is on the horizon and we can start planning our festivities. Whether you are allowed to go for a meal, a bev or just a walk with friends, discover outfit inspiration for every tier of the UK.

What can you do in Tier 1?

Tier 1, also known as Medium Alert feels like FREEDOM compared to what we are used to. You can meet up to 6 people from other households (socially distanced ofc) and you can visit pubs, restaurants together.

What can you do in Tier 2?

In Tier 2, also known as High Alert, you can’t mix with people from outside of your home, but you CAN visit a restaurant and grab a drink with a substantial meal, that’s something right? (Even if there is an 11pm curfew).

What can you do in Tier 3?

This is where it gets a little less exciting, Tier 3 is in Very High Alert. You can’t socialise with people from outside your bubble or household, nor can you head to a bar or restaurant for the time being. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t get festive and treat yourself to a new outfit.

*The tiers are subject to change and review, so please consult the Gov UK website if you are unclear

Outfits for Tier 1

If you’re currently living in a Tier 1 area, let’s face it, we’re all incredibly jealous of you right now. It’s time to make your grand exit out of lockdown and show everyone what they have been missing. (By ‘everyone’ we mean the socially-distanced group of six you are legally allowed to meet, but that didn’t quite have the same ring to it).

Discover a little outfit inspo for your return to the bar, your boujee Christmas meals and your festive nights out.

Outfits for Tier 2

Heading out for a nice meal or coffee date with a friend is what Winter is all about. If you’re in Tier 2, you can finally show off all those smart-casual looks you’ve been *adding to bag* over lockdown 2.0. We are talking leather trousers, new coats, cosy jumpers, shackets and boots. You know the drill.

Find tier 2 outfit inspo for all your Christmas shopping trips and your ‘substantial meals’ to go with your bevs.

Outfits for Tier 3

Just hold on Tier 3, there is a vaccine coming and you will be able to escape lockdown soon. If we are being brutally honest, not much has changed for you guys coming out of lockdown. On the upside, you can still grab yourself a takeaway coffee, go for a walk or do a bit of Christmas shopping.

Alternatively you can stay lying on your sofa, eating festive chocolate and watching Christmas films, who are we to judge.
