Head of Brand
How long have you been at Missguided?
How did you land your role at Missguided?
I started as a blogger outreach assistant and worked my way up
What is a day in the life like for you at work?
My job is super varied. I head up the social media, creative, influencer and PR teams. One day I could be working on a TV ad, the next working a deal with our next celebrity.
How did you find being on camera?
Super cringes out, it’s not my thing! However I would feel more confident the next time haha
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Creating campaigns from start to finish, seeing our work on billboards, TV and in the press! Building the brands ethos by empowering our customer to feel confident in her mind and body and wearing what she wants, for her. I love seeing her achieve her life goals through our content, creative and messaging.
What keeps you motivated?
I’ve always been very driven so I don’t find it hard to keep motivated. I love my job, my team and thrive off seeing Missguided grow. I’ve dreamed of being in my position for over 12 years now so it means the world to me.
What was the trickiest project you’ve worked on and why?
Every project has it’s tricky parts, it’s knowing not to get too disheartened and cracking on.
What is your favourite Missguided Campaign and why?
So many! I love our party campaign we did last year, I feel it levelled us up and stepped us away from our competition. It will always be one of my favourites alongside all our empowerment campaigns which make me so proud of the team and how we are really helping our customer, not just to buy clothes but to feel good in them too.
What advice would you give to someone trying to get into the industry?
Never give up, knock on doors, be persistent, be disciplined enough to learn your craft inside out and be nice!
