From collabs with your fave influencers, to the creation of new fashion lines and a few staff parties thrown in there too. One of the team members featured in the show is our Internal Communications & Engagement Partner, Glenn. We chatted to him to find out more about his role and his experience on the show.
Q+A with Glenn
I turned the big four zero this year!
Cleethorpes, small seaside town in Lincolnshire if you’ve never heard of it!
Internal Communications & Engagement Partner
How long have you been at Missguided?
3 amazing years so far
Where did you previously work?
I held a similar role previously with Selfridges. I saw the role advertised at MG and basically pressed ‘apply’ instantly.
What is a day in the life like for you at work?
Everyday can be so different. A typical week could include writing company comms, hosting bingo, designing training sessions, leading colleague listening groups, editing a video or pushing the ‘treat trolley’.
How did you find being on camera?
At first it was a little nerve-racking, but after a few hours I totally forgot they were filming, this also meant I forgot to turn the microphone off whilst going to the toilet, nice!
What’s your favourite part of the job?
This has to be coming up with new ideas, experiences and ways of working. It’s great when we sit down as a People team and start thinking how we can turn what is often a mundane HR ‘thing’ in other organisations into something uniquely Missguided, something that that will resinate with our colleagues, something that is fun… basically turning the ordinary into something extraordinary!
What keeps you motivated at work?
The variety of the role keeps me motivated and actually seeing something you’ve worked on and been planning actually come to life gives me a real buzz!
What was the trickiest project you’ve worked on and why?
Working on creating our company values, which we actually call our Missguided Vibes. It was a huge task, one that included lots of feedback, lots of ideas and lots of data. I wanted to make sure everyone had the chance to get involved and have their voice heard.
What is your favourite Missguided Campaign and why?
It has be be ‘Keep on being you‘. The styling, the choice of influences / models and the messaging… I loved it all, remember keep on being you… it’s really great look!
