Meet Cat Meffan, the health and fitness blogger at imperfectmatter.com We sent Cat the new season Missguided Active collection to trial whilst she practises her daily yoga and these are the results. Dancer pose

This is one of my favourite postures, as it reminds me of my gymnastics and dancing days. If you can't reach your leg, use a strap, which will help open your shoulders over time.

Forearm wheel posture with bent leg

A lot of people find this slightly easier than the full wheel, but the safest way to get into it is from wheel, so you'll need quite open shoulders and a bendy back. This is my favourite outfit from the Missguided collection - I've already had some compliments in my yoga class!

 Chair lunge with lifted back foot

Chair yoga is a real thing and isn't just for old people, which is what I first thought. You can get into some many more postures and really work on deepening each stretch.

Pigeon pose variation

Pigeon is such a great hip-opening posture and one that I do a lot. If you have tight hips then I definitely recommend using a block under your front leg butt cheek and a strap to help you get the back foot up. It's such a graceful posture.

Headstand with genie legs variation

Playing around with leg variations is so much fun and something you can do against the wall too if you're not quite ready to balance on your own.

Intense stretch with tucked toes

Sometimes we forget to stretch our toes and fingers, but they're just as important as the rest of our body. I love this stretch, as it strengthens the shoulders whilst stretching the feet and toes.

Split 3-legged downward facing dog

I add this posture into pretty much every flow I do, as it challenges balance and gives me the option to work on opening my hips for more advanced postures later in my practice.

Box split handstand 

This posture is throwing it way back to my gymnastics days. I remember having to hold this on a 10"-wide beam. Kind of scary, but I love the adrenalin rush of being upside down.
